Eskifjordur, a charming little town with a history rich in folklore to which the many old buildings and Maritime Museum stand testament. Known locally as Hotel Eskifjordur, the hotel is newly opened and is situated in the centre of town with views across the fjord to the majestic "Holmatindur" mountain peaks.  Previously the premises of "Landsbanki Islands", the site that now houses Puffin Hotel dates back to 1918 with the building itself dating back to 1968. Consisting of 16 double rooms, the hotel has been designed with your comfort and enjoyment a high priority and all local amenities are within short walking distance of the hotel. The restaurants in Eskifjordur and the neighbouring fjords of Neskaupstadur and Reydarfjordur offer great choice and diversity just a short car ride away. Rich in natural beauty the local, protected "Holmanes" peninsula and other areas well known for their abundant birdlife are just a stone's throw away. Boat excursions to the islands of Reydarfjordur are not to be missed and with activities including boating, fishing, hiking, horse riding, sightseeing, history tours, adventure tours, local delicacy tastings and more available, simply ask our staff to arrange an activity or tour of your choosing.
