In town we have famous and historical Randulfs Seahouse which is open in the summer months and offers a curated menu of local ingredients. Furthermore, it also serves as a museum, and we can of course arrange a private viewing at your leisure. Please note this is dependent on availability.
Whilst not always necessary, we highly recommend you book in advance. If you are interested in visiting Iceland out of season as a group, private bookings for dinner can be made for food in Randulfs year round.
If you are interested in visiting a museum we also have the East Iceland Maritime Museum which is also open in the summer months, boasting a selection of artefacts going back to the historical fishing age of the 1800s, a must-see for the history buff.
In colder months, Eskifjordur has its own ski resort with some of the best views in the region. Ski or snowboard down the slope above a majestic fjord on a sunny, crisp day for that ultimate fresh mountain air in your lungs. Ski passes can be purchased at the hotel as well as storage for skis onsite at the hotel too!

Come to Iceland via car! Just 40 minutes away from the port for the ferry to/from Iceland. Why not consider visiting Iceland and stopping off at the Faroe Islands along the way….
Our hotel in Eskifjörður has deep roots in the community as it used to be a bank and we have our own deity in mountain form of Hólmatindur watching over us and keeps us humble.
The rooms are fitted with modern appliances and a quality fitted mattress for the travelers rest and recovery.
Our team here at the hotel is a mixed bag of deep rooted locals, Icelanders, some seasonal workers, as well as people who are part of the project in other and very important ways.
Here are some photos below to see the surroundings and get a little inspired before the big jump to book and come visit us.
